By participating in the Ecluse project, I have not only gained the perspective of becoming a homeowner, which seemed unthinkable until now, but I was also involved in a great community experience.
I own three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a small patio. As a homeowner, I am currently saving money for myself while living on this property. This way, my children will have a foundation and won't be starting from ground zero. For me, it's a bit like Alice in Wonderland...
When you have a large family and you get notice, you don't sleep... When I found out that I was going to become a homeowner, I knew that I would never have this anxiety again. I've been feeling good for a few years now since I've joined the Rainbow Group. I already knew my future neighbors and I know that all will go well.
We build affordable housing for low-income residents of Brussels. Thanks to our innovative solution, our residents are able to buy a home without buying the land. The result? On average, our homes cost 25% less than those on the private market!
Residents are involved in the design and management of our housing projects. We support them in this process so that they are capable of independently managing their households on a day-to-day basis.
With our partners, we have helped create several Community Land Trusts in Belgium and Europe. We provide them expertise and information as support in launching their own projects.
