The Indépendance project is located in Molenbeek, a stone’s throw from the canal and Porte de Ninove. It is a very mixed neighbourhood with an abundance of housing, shops and amenities.

A tramline and several buses stop here, while the metro (and train) stations Gare de l’Ouest and Comte de Flandres are only a 10-minute walk away.

The project consists of a renovation of two buildings of industrial character that have been converted into several spacious and bright dwellings, as well as a series of communal areas. 15 apartments (studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms) have their front entrance on Rue de l’Indépendance, while 6 apartments (1 and 2 bedrooms) are accessible via Rue Ransfort. The two buildings are connected by a set of flat, green roofs inside the block.

The residents of the 21 apartments share a series of common areas, such as a communal laundry room, a multi-purpose room and a bicycle parking lot. In addition, each building has a space for storing pushchairs, as well as waste disposal and technical rooms.
